Our work evolves around the synthesis of phosphorus heterocycles, the exploration of their ligand properties and reactivity studies involving the obtained complexes. As these ligands and complexes are often highly reactive, the synthetic work requires strict exclusion of air and moisture. Therefore, the laboratory work for this research project involves standard Schlenk and glovebox techniques. New compounds are characterised by means of spectroscopic methods (NMR, IR, UV-Vis), single-crystal X-Ray diffraction, mass spectrometry and elemental analysis. These analyses are carried out using the facilities provided by the TU Munich.
